Bickenhill Household Waste Recycling Centre 

Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC)  offer people the opportunity to bring their household recycling and waste to a collection point, from where it can be bulked up and sent on to the relevant facilities to be reprocessed. Solihull has one HWRC located at , Bickenhill. 

Bickenhill HWRC operates using a book system only for residents to dispose of their recycling and rubbish. Please visit the Solihull Metroplitan Borough Councils website to book your slot. it is easy and quick and means you won't have to sit in a queue. Our HWRC is open 362 days a year with varying opening hours, please see the information below for further details.

HWRC Opening Hours

Summer

Our summer hours are from 1 April to 31 October:

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm
• Tuesday from 9.00am to 6.30pm
• Weekends from 9.00am to 4.30pm

Winter

Our winter hours are from 1 November to 31 March:

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9.30am to 4.00pm
• Tuesday from 9.30am to 5.30pm
• Weekends from 8.30am to 4.00pm

There are over 30 different items that can be brought to the HWRC, from cookers to cartons. You can also bring in materials if they won't fit in your recycling containers at home. If you regularly have more recycling than will fit in your containers, you can order additional ones for free here.
